Keep an eye on the sky
Its been a while since i last wrote, and this may be one of the last that i perhaps will write…
i am coming home in a matter of days….
have been so busy lately.
have been snowboarding 3 or 4 times…heaps fun and addictive…
have been working so much lately as well….worked as a hair model for a beauty school, got make up done, and hair and fake nails etc, even had to walk down a catwalk. basically we were guinea pigs for a bunch of 19 year old japanese students stydying at a beauty school. The money was good…just a little short of one month rent for two half days work….not to shabby ne…and i got a free haircut.
lots of partying- birthdays and farewell parties…drinking, dancing, karaoke etc
last night went to dinner with nomihodai, then karaoke for three hours with nomi hodai and then a restaurant nomihodai, getting back home at 7am…a very good night out spent with Japanese friends only….nihongo dake
went to Lake Shikotsu which is about two hours away from sapporo to see the hyoutou matsuri a really cool ice festival…but was so cold. below minus ten degrees, nearly froze to death….i was only wearing enough clothes for zero degrees. we had to get the bus from the airport, and so we had two and half hours to kill at the airport….a kath and kim like episode
so cold in sapporo at the moment
the yuki matsuri-snow festival is in full swing at the moment, and i havent even had time to go see it yet…must do asap.
have been hanging out with japanese friends catching up with them before i leave…sabishii ne.
so much to cram in, in my last week….tomorrow snow festival, choc museum/factory, and beer factory
also planning one more really short trip away hopefully
also must do souvenir shopping
looking foward to seeing the sun again and grass (rather than snow everywhere)
am also faced with the mammoth task of packing my apartment, and shipping luggage back home etc…..mendokusai yo
will be back very soon in oz where aleis adventure will continue
lotsa of love
aleisha
